More About Andrea

When I was a child, if you had asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, the answer was always "a writer."

I got my wish when I got my first newspaper job right down the road from my hometown.

I was writing, and whaddya know, someone was paying me for it. Sure it was news and not exactly what I was hoping for, but it was writing, nonetheless.

Since that first job, I've moved up through the ranks, as a feature reporter, general assignments reporter and editor. I've also dabbled in public relations and advertising copywriting.

Today, I work at a regional council of governments as a senior communications coordinator in the community and environmental planning department.

I am also a Distinguished Toastmaster in the Toastmasters International leadership and communications organization.
